Renewing Mind and Rejuvenating Body

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.  Isaiah 40:31

A workshop to help awaken the mind and body with spring's bounty.

Spring is a time of rebirth. Warmer temperatures awaken dormant trees and flowers. Suddenly colorless winter is exchanged for riotous spring. This change in temperature should also affect a change in our eating patterns and workout regime, but too often we are still feeling the effects of our winter regime.

While winter is a season of quiet reflection and of nurturing our bodies with heavier, warm foods to maintain body heat, spring is a time to shed heavier foods for lighter, cooler fare that will restart our internal systems. In turn, what we eat now plays a pivotal role in clearing out the cobwebs in our head, dispelling "brain fog" and ridding the body of any lingering sluggishness from the cold season. In fact, digestion is a key factor in alleviating many common complaints such as IBS, fatigue, and even seasonal allergies.

During this Yoga for Digestion workshop, you will learn a series of poses which help aid digestion and massage the internal organs to get things moving.  You will also get to sample some foods that stimulate digestion and help jump-start the system to cleanse it of any toxins.

All levels of yoga students welcome.

Immersion Experience

The New Day Yoga Immersion Experience is designed for intermediate yoga students who are already familiar and comfortable with yoga topics such as chakras, mudras, intermediate asana, basic pranayama, chanting, and meditation.   Each Immersion covers detailed anatomy and asana that relate to one of the major chakras and includes Ayurvedic principles, Bible Scripture study, group discussion, creative workshops, and praise and worship.  The Immersions coincide with the New Day Yoga Advanced Teacher Training program and can be taken in any order.  Each Immersion stands alone and is a complete and unique experience separate from the others, taking the participant into a deeper relationship with Jesus as well as into a deeper understanding of oneself.  Come and see how powerful yoga practice can be when it is centered, grounded, and focused on becoming more like Jesus in body, mind, and spirit.
